Continuing from last week, the 'Frugal Couple' underwent a household investigation. The husband expressed disapproval of his wife sending money to her family and showed an obsession with saving money. He opposed his wife visiting her home country, Vietnam, if she became pregnant and made derogatory remarks about her accent, suggesting their child might be bullied for learning two languages. His disrespectful comments about his wife's culture shocked everyone.
The husband openly criticized his in-laws' culture and lifestyle. The investigation room was filled with sighs when the father-in-law was shown being cautious around the husband. A past incident was revealed where the husband became violent under the influence of alcohol, leading to police intervention, which left everyone in shock. Seo Jang-hoon harshly criticized the husband's behavior, calling him a "pathetic man."
The couple then consulted with counselor Lee Ho-sun. Lee advised the husband to quit drinking and suggested setting aside a monthly budget for the couple to spend together, addressing the wife's dissatisfaction with equal financial contributions. He also advised the wife not to mention divorce lightly and to support her husband's sobriety.
Next, the household investigation of the 'Paternity Test Couple', the final couple of the 20th season, was conducted. They were in a de facto relationship after two broken engagements, with the shocking revelation that the cause was the husband's sister-in-law.
The wife, who had a close relationship with her mother-in-law, was in conflict with her sister-in-law over the mother-in-law's burdensome childcare duties. The husband, instead of supporting his wife, remained neutral and sided with his sister-in-law, frustrating viewers. The episode also teased issues involving another woman and the wife's demand for a paternity test, sparking curiosity.
