Korean actress Uhm Ji-won has expressed her willingness to try dating apps as she actively seeks romance.

On October 2, Uhm Ji-won's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'Are You Really Fighting? "Neneo." | On the Go with Pro Talker Kim Nam-gil.' In the video, Uhm Ji-won engaged in a lively discussion about dating with guest actor Kim Nam-gil.

During their conversation, the two speculated on why they are both single. Uhm Ji-won suggested that Kim Nam-gil's living situation with his parents might make dating challenging, to which Kim Nam-gil responded with laughter, questioning the relevance.

Kim Nam-gil described Uhm Ji-won as someone with many interests and talents, noting that her active lifestyle might intimidate potential partners. He shared, "She has so many talents that men might feel overwhelmed."

Reflecting on his single life, Kim Nam-gil mentioned the freedom to travel spontaneously, which can be restricted when in a relationship. Uhm Ji-won agreed, highlighting the benefits of single life, saying, "It's nice not to feel obligated in a relationship."

However, Uhm Ji-won admitted, "As time goes by, it seems harder to meet people," and revealed her goal for the year is to go on blind dates, showing her proactive approach to dating. She added, "I've rarely made an effort for love. It's important to be in an environment where I can meet good people and try to understand them." She also made a bold statement, "In other countries, many people meet through dating apps. Since there aren't many options, I'm willing to try anything."

When discussing her ideal type, Uhm Ji-won stated, "Someone who manages their life well is enough." Kim Nam-gil humorously suggested that a national-level skiing skill might be required, to which she laughed and replied, "As long as they can take care of themselves."

Previously, in February, Uhm Ji-won candidly shared on her YouTube channel that her ideal type is someone she can kiss, emphasizing, "If I can't imagine kissing them, no matter how great they are, it won't work."

Uhm Ji-won announced her divorce from Oh Young-wook in 2021 after seven years of marriage. She is known for her roles in 'Little Women,' 'Trunk,' and 'You Have Been Deceived.' In December last year, she won the Grand Prize at the 2025 KBS Drama Awards for her role in 'Eagle Five Brothers.'
