On November 3, Kim shared on her Instagram, "This time, I won't die, I won't be sick, and I'll be a bit more cheerful and cute. I'm already happy🩷," along with two photos.
The photos reveal the upcoming musical adaptation of the tvN drama 'Yumi's Cells,' in which Kim So-hyang is set to star. Other cast members include Tiffany Young from Girls' Generation and Jeong Jin-woon from 2AM.
The musical 'Yumi's Cells' portrays the everyday life and love of an ordinary office worker, Yumi, from the perspective of the cells in her head. The original Naver webtoon has amassed a global view count of 3.5 billion and was also adapted into a drama starring Kim Go-eun.
Previously, Kim So-hyang was involved in a 'casting monopoly controversy' due to fewer appearances compared to fellow actress Ock Joo-hyun in the musical 'Anna Karenina.' Kim later posted a cryptic message on her social media, stating "No comment."
Meanwhile, 'Yumi's Cells' will be staged at the CJ Towol Theater in the Seoul Arts Center from June 30 to August 23.
