On April 2nd, Chae-yeon posted several photos on her Instagram with the caption, "Didn't even know it aired yesterday... Am I the only one with no sense of time? It's already April..."
The photos show Chae-yeon on the set of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star,' alongside fellow guests Jo Gap-kyung, Go Woo-ri, and Lee Chae-young from fromis_9, all smiling brightly.
Notably, despite the recent controversy surrounding Jo Gap-kyung, Chae-yeon appeared unfazed, drawing attention.
The controversy began when Jo Gap-kyung's former daughter-in-law, identified as A, revealed on the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Institute' on March 23rd that her ex-husband B had been unfaithful and failed to pay child support. According to A, B had an affair with a temporary teacher at the same school just a month into her pregnancy.
A filed for divorce in October 2024, and the court ruled in the first trial that "B's infidelity with another woman led to the breakdown of the de facto marriage between the plaintiff and the defendant." The court ordered B to pay 30 million won in damages and 800,000 won monthly in child support until the child reaches adulthood.
On March 28th, Hong Seo-beom and Jo Gap-kyung issued an apology, stating, "After returning to Korea, we reviewed the court documents and the divorce proceedings, realizing the discrepancies between what we were told and the actual situation. We sincerely apologize for not setting a good example as public figures."
A expressed her anger over Jo Gap-kyung's appearance on 'Radio Star,' saying, "You ruined someone's life by letting your son cheat, and yet you appear on TV like nothing happened. You even know he's still seeing the other woman."
