Park Hee-seon from 'Single's Inferno 5' is set to appear in the upcoming season of 'Death Game'.
In the 11th episode of Netflix's daily variety show 'Death Game: Bet on 10 Million Won', released on the 1st, a thrilling 1-on-1 brain match unfolded between 'trickster' DinDin and 'survival expert' Seo Chul-goo.
DinDin, who had previously defeated IVE's Gaeul and KAIST AI researcher Heo Seong-beom, was aiming for a third consecutive win, expressing his newfound appreciation for survival games. Seo Chul-goo, known for his strong presence in 'Bloody Game' seasons 2 and 3, was his formidable opponent. Jang Dong-min commented, "He's a character recognized in survival games. He once challenged me as a rival," raising expectations.
The game they faced off in was 'Suspects', a puzzle game where players must identify three suspects with matching attributes from multiple images. Each suspect has four attributes: time, hairstyle, disguise, and weapon, and they must either all match or all differ to be apprehended. The key to victory is reaching 'unapprehendable' first. Jang Dong-min described it as an upgraded version of 'The Genius' combination game, calling it "a very fun game."
Seo Chul-goo and DinDin employed different strategies from the start. Seo Chul-goo focused on rare attributes to aggressively declare 'unapprehendable', while DinDin planned to check each attribute sequentially before confidently declaring 'unapprehendable'. Jang Dong-min emphasized, "Setting a clear logic is crucial. You need a logic that can verify all possibilities."
As the game progressed, Seo Chul-goo quickly gained momentum, identifying suspects and successfully declaring 'unapprehendable', widening the score gap. In contrast, DinDin struggled to maintain his initial confidence, falling into confusion, while Jang Dong-min's teasing commentary added humor. As the rounds progressed, DinDin began to recover his rhythm and attempted a comeback, but Seo Chul-goo maintained his focus and sealed the victory.
Seo Chul-goo, the winner of episode 11, received the seed of victory and a prize of 10 million won. DinDin, who failed to achieve a third consecutive win, expressed, "I'm embarrassed. I think I was too arrogant. If there's another chance, I'll come back better."
At the end of the broadcast, the upcoming season 2 was teased, heightening anticipation. The previous 11 matches were essentially a buildup for season 2. The tournament will feature winners from season 1, along with new faces like travel YouTuber Kwak Tube, KiiiKiii Ji-yoo, and 'Single's Inferno 5' Park Hee-seon. Park Hee-seon, who became a final couple with Lim Soo-bin in 'Single's Inferno 5', is currently studying at Carnegie Mellon University in the U.S. and recently came to Seoul National University as an exchange student.
'Death Game' will return with season 2 on the 22nd after a three-week break for reorganization.
