'You Quiz on the Block' Continues to Captivate Viewers Amid Cast Changes
The popular South Korean variety show 'You Quiz on the Block,' hosted by Yoo Jae-suk, continues to maintain its strong viewership despite recent cast changes. Co-host Jo Se-ho recently departed the show following various controversies.

The episode aired on November 1st, marked the 337th installment of the tvN show, achieving a 3.9% average viewership rating in the Seoul metropolitan area, peaking at 5.4%, and securing the top spot among cable and general programming channels during its time slot. This episode featured Kim Yoon-ji, an athlete who made history by winning five medals in a single competition. Competing in six Nordic skiing events (biathlon and cross-country), she secured two gold and three silver medals. Kim is notable for competing in both summer swimming and winter Nordic skiing, a rare feat accomplished by fewer than 100 athletes worldwide, earning her the title of an 'iron woman.'

Kim's achievement as the only female gold medalist in the Nordic skiing category, traditionally a medal drought area, added significance to her story. During one race, she fell but quickly got back up to win a silver medal, leaving a strong impression. Kim remarked, "I often fall, but I'm confident in getting back up," hinting at her rigorous training regimen.

The episode also featured Seoul City Hall's 38 Tax Collection Division investigators, known for their relentless pursuit of high-value tax evaders, and legendary cartoonist Heo Young-man, who has spent 60 years creating masterpieces like 'Tazza' and 'Sikgaek.' AKMU (Akdong Musician) returned to the show after five years, sharing heartfelt stories of overcoming personal struggles, including Lee Su-hyun's battle with a slump, reclusive lifestyle, and binge eating, and her brother Lee Chan-hyuk's unwavering support.

The next episode promises appearances by Park Min-cheol, a top divorce lawyer from Korea's leading law firm, Professor Joo Eun-yeon, who has studied insomnia for over 20 years, singer-songwriter Han Roro, known for the hit 'Saranghage Dwel Geoya,' and actor-turned-singer Kim Nam-gil.

'You Quiz on the Block' airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM.
