Exploring Korea's Silicon Valley: 'Save Me! Holmes' Heads to Pangyo
This episode features comedian Yang Se-chan, actor Ahn Jae-hyun, who became single again in 2019, and stock expert Choi Go-min-soo, drawing attention. The trio will explore both East and West Pangyo, divided by the Gyeongbu Expressway, examining a wide range of housing options from major apartment complexes to officetels and single-family homes.
Choi Go-min-soo, excited for his second appearance following the 'Yeouido' episode, humorously pledges to appear monthly, coining the term 'Monthly Choi Go-min-soo.' His bold promises, including a yacht party, and his non-stop chatter prompt Jang Dong-min to step in as the 'talk patrol,' causing laughter on set. Choi also expresses his unique affection for 'Holmes' by aiming to attend the year-end awards ceremony.
The team heads to 'Alpha Dome City,' a complex near Pangyo Station housing IT companies, to begin their exploration. They are amazed by the patrol robots and casually dressed employees, a stark contrast to traditional business districts. They conduct impromptu interviews with local workers to verify the rumored 'Pangyo language,' leading to a humorous situation where the cast struggles to understand despite speaking the same Korean language.
They visit a well-known apartment complex located just a five-minute walk from Pangyo Station and Hyundai Department Store. The cutting-edge IT-integrated interiors leave Yang Se-chan and Ahn Jae-hyun (38) in awe, with Yang repeatedly exclaiming, "It's IT!" to maintain a lighthearted atmosphere.
While touring the house, the studio erupts in laughter as Yang Se-hyung introduces 'Dongducheon language,' following the 'Pangyo language.' The unexpected expressions leave the cast bewildered, turning the scene into a comedic spectacle. The mystery of the 'Dongducheon language' that confounded the cast adds to the intrigue.
The Pangyo episode of 'Holmes' airs on Thursday at 10 PM.
