Go Woo-ri, a former member of the girl group Rainbow, has announced her surprise pregnancy at the age of 38.
On the October 1st episode of MBC's 'Radio Star,' Go Woo-ri appeared as a guest alongside Jo Gap-kyung, Chae Yeon, and Lee Chae-young from fromis_9.
During the show, Go Woo-ri revealed, "My goal this year was to get pregnant, but I kept failing." She continued, "I was debating whether to share this, but I am actually pregnant," as she showed her maternity badge.
Go Woo-ri, who is seven weeks pregnant as of the recording date, shared, "It was amazing to see the two lines appear, and the next day I got a call from 'Radio Star.'" When Kim Gura suggested naming the baby 'Ras,' Go Woo-ri said the baby's nickname is 'Bokdeong.'
She also mentioned, "I appeared on a fortune-telling program called 'Strange Story.' Six fortune tellers were there, and they all said I would succeed and get pregnant, and that work would come even if I got pregnant. They said it would be a huge success. After that, I really did get pregnant and appeared on 'Radio Star.' I feel like good energy is coming my way."
Go Woo-ri married a businessman five years her senior in October 2022. Previously, she mentioned on 'No Back Takk Jae-hoon' in 2024 about a contract during her Rainbow18 activities that prohibited pregnancy. She said, "Both of us couldn't get pregnant while working, so we were on hold. My husband is very diligent about this clause. I don't understand why we can't just avoid pregnancy. It's frustrating."
