AKMU's Lee Su-hyun Opens Up About Overcoming a Severe Slump and Rebuilding Her Life
AKMU's Lee Su-hyun candidly shared her experience of overcoming a severe slump on the October 1st episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.'

During the show, Lee Su-hyun revealed that she lived as a recluse for two years, saying, "It started with a slump in my work, and my entire life crumbled."

She confessed to filling the void with food, stating, "I binged every day. I ate spicy tteokbokki, chicken feet at night, and spicy braised ribs the next morning." She added, "As I gained weight rapidly, my whole body felt like it was tearing apart."

It wasn't just her body that suffered. Lee Su-hyun admitted, "Seeing myself like that, how could I see myself as beautiful? My self-esteem and confidence hit rock bottom." She also shared that she developed a fear of people looking at her, leading to social anxiety.

Ultimately, she considered quitting her career, saying, "I thought, 'Should I live like this?'" She spent nearly two years isolated from the outside world, enduring a difficult period.

However, Lee Su-hyun shared that she is now on the path to recovery, stating, "I am continuously working towards a healthy life," and provided an update on her improved well-being.
