KBS 2TV's 'Salimnam' Delivers Laughter and Emotion with Trot Stars' Romantic Endeavors
The episode aired on the 28th of last month, featuring special guest singer Grig, and showcased a matchmaking event with solo trot singers gathered in one place.
In the VCR, Park Seo-jin expressed his excitement, saying, "It's my first time in such a setting, and I'm thrilled," as he participated in the matchmaking project. Eun Ji-won, recalling his past experience on a dating show, humorously added, "I used to drink every day for it. You have to confess to someone new every week. It's impossible to do it sober," eliciting laughter from the audience.
The grand project of 'Salimnam' officially kicked off with Park Seo-jin and his sister Hyo-jung leading the way, joined by popular trot stars Ahn Sung-hoon, Chu Hyuk-jin, Hong Ji-yoon, and Yoyomi. Hyo-jung, determined to find a match, said, "I must catch someone today," but couldn't hide her disappointment upon seeing her brother Park Seo-jin. The close-knit cast members expressed their disappointment upon recognizing each other, bringing laughter to the scene.
As the atmosphere turned serious in the quest for 'love,' the participants began to immerse themselves. Chu Hyuk-jin, during his self-introduction, mentioned his family's meat processing business and appealed to Hyo-jung, saying, "I can feed you meat until you're tired of it." He also expressed interest in Hyo-jung, noting, "She's much slimmer and cuter than on TV. I'm curious," and showcased his impressive dance skills, befitting his idol background.
Ahn Sung-hoon won hearts with his attentiveness, providing blankets to the female participants. With confidence, he removed his glasses, attempting a visual transformation, and remarked, "The more you see, the more handsome I get." Chu Hyuk-jin humorously commented, "Better than before," as Ahn Sung-hoon's past photos were revealed, surprising the MCs. Amidst the astonishment, Park Seo-jin added, "He goes to the same clinic as me," drawing laughter. Ahn Sung-hoon also showcased his unique charm with a handstand performance.
Park Seo-jin, caught in a love triangle with Hong Ji-yoon and Yoyomi, admitted, "I was so nervous with potential partners sitting in front of me." As a 32-year-old who has never dated, he sincerely expressed, "I want to find someone to share all my first moments with." During this, Yoyomi playfully questioned, "Why did you only exchange numbers with Ji-yoon after the last camping trip?" leaving Park Seo-jin flustered and unable to explain. Previously, it was revealed that Park Seo-jin, born in 1995, spent around 100 million won on cosmetic surgery, garnering attention.
In an interview, Yoyomi confessed, "I usually don't get jealous, but I felt it this time," and teased, "Seo-jin, you might lose out." When asked to choose between Hong Ji-yoon and Yoyomi as his ideal type, Park Seo-jin cleverly replied, "I'll get to know them better."
Later, Hyo-jung remarked, "I might not be able to date if I keep following my brother," and when Chu Hyuk-jin asked if there was anyone among the male trot singers on 'Salimnam' who made her heart flutter, she coyly replied, "Maybe," showcasing her playful side.
As Yoyomi shyly introduced herself, Park Seo-jin noted, "I've seen a new side of her. She was always outgoing and lively, but seeing her shy during her introduction sparked my curiosity." When Yoyomi described her ideal type, Park Seo-jin eagerly listened, as if it was about him.
Hong Ji-yoon shared, "I've never spent Christmas with a boyfriend in 32 years. I want to spend this Christmas with one," and added, "I like tall, handsome men." Eun Ji-won bluntly commented, "There's no one like that here," leaving Park Seo-jin flustered.
