IU Revives Iconic 'You and I' Look for April Fools' Day Surprise
Singer and actress IU has delighted fans by donning her iconic outfit from 15 years ago, teasing a playful April Fools' Day content.
On the 31st, IU shared several photos on her agency's official social media with the caption, "111201 Music Show Dance Practice." In the photos, IU perfectly recreated her 'You and I' era look with pigtails and a black collared dress.
She excitedly announced, "To everyone waiting for the 'You and I' comeback stage, I've finally brought behind-the-scenes from the dance practice! Please look forward to it as much as I've prepared! Shall we aim for number one together?" This appears to be a reenactment of her title track 'You and I' from her second studio album 'Last Fantasy,' released 15 years ago, in celebration of April Fools' Day.
Fans responded enthusiastically to the post, praising her timeless beauty with comments like "I'm the only one aging," and "15 years have passed, but her face remains the same." Others reminisced about the era, saying, "This is truly nostalgic," and "The vibes from back then are amazing."
IU debuted in 2008 with 'Lost Child' and rose to national fame two years later with the hit three-octave high note in her mini-album's title track 'Good Day.'
Meanwhile, IU is set to star in the upcoming MBC drama '21st Century Grand Lady,' premiering in April, where she will play Seong Hee-joo, a woman who has everything but is frustrated by her commoner status.
