In the episode aired on the 31st, Park Jae-sang (played by Lee Ga-seop) declared his intention to expose the recordings and individuals involved in Oh Gwang-jae's (played by Seo Hyun-woo) murder case. However, just before the live broadcast, Park Jae-sang was found dead in a motel, completely reversing the situation.
During this process, the existence of the 'Oh Gwang-jae File', entangling media, politics, and conglomerates, was revealed, showing that the case is not limited to the crime of a specific individual but is connected to the overall power structure. The recordings have started to function as a major variable in pressuring each faction, indicating a fundamental change in the nature of the case.
The relationship between Bang Tae-seop (played by Joo Ji-hoon) and Choo Sang-ah (played by Ha Ji-won) underwent a significant change in episode 6. Their collusion to cover up and exploit the Oh Gwang-jae case was revealed, breaking their trust. Additionally, Hwang Jung-won (played by Nana) evolved from a mere informant to a direct participant in the case, emerging as a key variable that shakes their relationship.
Furthermore, Kwon Jong-wook (played by Oh Jung-se) and Lee Yang-mi (played by Cha Joo-young) have also jumped into the power struggle, using media, public opinion, and shares to maneuver the case to their advantage. The transformation of their relationship from simple spouses to conspirators who suspect each other left a strong impression on viewers.
Although the release of the recordings was halted due to Park Jae-sang's death, the case has expanded even further. With the core evidence gone, the control of the case has shifted to the choices of the surviving characters. Choo Sang-ah attempts a shocking reversal of public opinion with an extreme choice. Bang Tae-seop is forced to choose between political survival and covering up the case. Meanwhile, the emergence of the Oh Gwang-jae File as a public issue expands the case into a risk that could shake the entire power structure.
'Climax' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
