Unforgettable Moments from 'Shining' Revealed by Cast and Crew
The most touching moments from 'Shining' have been unveiled, moving the hearts of many.

JTBC's Friday series 'Shining' continues to captivate audiences with its poignant love story that transcends a decade, leaving viewers unable to look away until the very end. Director Kim Yoon-jin, writer Lee Sook-yeon, and actors Park Jin-young (as Yeon Tae-seo) and Kim Min-ju (as Mo Eun-ah) have shared their favorite scenes and lines from the series.

Director Kim Yoon-jin highlighted the breakup scene between Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah in episode 3. "The long dialogue and emotions in the first breakup scene were not easy. It was even more challenging because they were breaking up over the phone, not in the same space. Due to scheduling, their phone scenes were filmed separately, but Park Jin-young and Kim Min-ju supported each other by acting together over the phone for every take. Park Jin-young even traveled to Gyeongsang Province in advance, despite not having scenes to shoot, to support Kim Min-ju," she expressed her gratitude towards the actors.

Writer Lee Sook-yeon also reflected on a scene from episode 3, saying, "The narration of Yeon Tae-seo transitioning from his past to present self is the most memorable." She expressed deep empathy for Yeon Tae-seo's sincere acceptance of loss and loneliness after parting with Mo Eun-ah, adding, "I remember getting choked up every time I read this part."

Meanwhile, Park Jin-young, who portrays the strong yet delicate character of Yeon Tae-seo, found both the breakups at ages twenty and thirty to be impactful. "The work meticulously depicts the process of meeting and parting, and the different feelings of separation in the past and present, reflecting the passage of time and character growth," he explained, adding depth to his choice.

Additionally, Kim Min-ju, who reveals various facets of Mo Eun-ah from pure passion to inner wounds, chose the line "Where, doing what, with whom" that follows the protagonists as they envision their future. "It's a thought Mo Eun-ah always has when contemplating the future. She visualizes it while looking at Yeon Tae-seo, and Yeon Tae-seo also recalls this line when envisioning his future with Mo Eun-ah, making it the most memorable line associated with 'Mo Eun-ah,'" she expressed her special attachment.

'Shining' will air on November 3 at 8:50 PM.
