Park Se-mi, beloved for her 'Seojun Mom' character on YouTube's Pisik University, has launched a new content series as she embarks on a journey to become a real mom.
The first episode of 'Yuamom', released on the 31st, features Park Se-mi experiencing and empathizing with the real lives of mothers in their 30s and 40s. In this debut content, Park visits an English kindergarten, living alongside the children and conversing with actual mothers who send their kids there.
During her visit to the English kindergarten, Park Se-mi participated in a level test and classes, expressing surprise at the children's English proficiency. Despite being in a class for seven-year-olds, she struggled to keep up, feeling both shocked and impressed by the children's fluency. She also joined in physical education, experiencing the challenges from a mother's perspective.
Park Se-mi also engaged in conversations with mothers who send their children to English kindergartens. They discussed their reasons for choosing such schools and shared practical checklists. Tips included not only the curriculum but also details like 'bathroom cleanliness' and 'instructions for boarding the shuttle bus'.
The discussion also touched on the significant concern of costs, with mothers sharing their views on the monthly expense of 2 to 3 million won. They expressed that they see it as an investment in their child's future rather than a burden, a sentiment Park Se-mi deeply resonated with. Other concerns like tuition and material costs were also discussed.
Mothers present with Park Se-mi shared specific insights on whether the school suits their child and the direction they wish to take with their child. They advised, "Many try it for a month and then switch to a regular kindergarten. If you're unsure, just give it a try."
After her experience and conversations, Park Se-mi reflected, "Of course, an English kindergarten doesn't determine a child's character or skills," adding, "I plan to save diligently instead of buying luxury goods."
Despite perfectly portraying the 'Seojun Mom' character from the new town, Park Se-mi is often mistaken for being married, though she is actually a 36-year-old single woman. She recently made headlines by expressing her desire to marry and have children soon on YouTube's 'New Woman'.
'Yuamom' is a YouTube series designed for Park Se-mi, who has garnered significant empathy through her parenting content. It aims to provide entertainment, information, and empathy by directly experiencing the lives of mothers and children.
Meanwhile, Park Se-mi has revealed her plans for having a second child, stating, "If I have a daughter, I'll name her 'Yua'," drawing attention with her specific plans.
