The relationship between Park Min-young and Wi Ha-jun's characters remains on a knife-edge in the latest episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Siren'.
In the episode aired on the 30th, Han Seol-ah (played by Park Min-young) pushes Cha Woo-seok (played by Wi Ha-jun) away to protect him, only for the two to unexpectedly cross paths again while pursuing different targets. The episode garnered a nationwide household rating of 4.8%, peaking at 5.9%, with the metropolitan area recording an average of 4.5% and a peak of 5.8%.
Cha Woo-seok is determined to prove Han Seol-ah's innocence after she is arrested at the scene for the murder of Baek Jun-beom (played by Kim Jung-hyun). Discovering traces of someone other than Han Seol-ah and Baek Jun-beom at the scene, Cha Woo-seok suggests to the detectives the possibility of a third party being involved.
Thanks to Cha Woo-seok's efforts, Han Seol-ah is soon released from the police station, but her heart remains heavy. The return of a former lover she thought dead, only to meet a gruesome end, makes her acutely aware of the tragedies surrounding her.
Concerned for Cha Woo-seok, who has been her support, Han Seol-ah wishes to protect him from harm, especially since the real culprit is still at large. Instead of expressing her true feelings, she bids him farewell with a composed demeanor, saying, “Don’t get hurt anymore,” leaving viewers with a sense of melancholy.
As the investigation into Baek Jun-beom's murder continues, Han Seol-ah returns to Royal Auction and embarks on an unexpected course of action. Remembering her father's past, who was framed for forgery under the orders of former Royal Auction chairman Kim Sun-ae, Han Seol-ah decides to delve into Kim Sun-ae's list of properties under false names.
Meanwhile, as artworks insured by Royal Auction mysteriously disappear, Cha Woo-seok, investigating the insurance claims, is reminded of Joo Hyun-soo (played by Park Ji-an), who killed his sister for insurance money. This leads Cha Woo-seok to suspect a connection between Royal Auction and Joo Hyun-soo, prompting him to track Joo Hyun-soo.
With the help of Dr. Shin (played by Yoon Jae-chan), Cha Woo-seok locates Joo Hyun-soo's whereabouts and finds a package addressed to the driver who transported Royal Auction's artworks. Convinced of Joo Hyun-soo's involvement in the art fire incidents, Cha Woo-seok attempts to leave the building, only to be caught off guard as Joo Hyun-soo arrives via elevator.
At the moment Joo Hyun-soo reaches Cha Woo-seok's location, someone pulls Cha Woo-seok into a corner, and he is shocked to see a familiar face covering his mouth. It turns out Han Seol-ah, who was investigating Kim Sun-ae's property list, is also at the scene. As the two unexpectedly reunite, attention turns to the unfolding art insurance fraud case they are both unraveling.
