On the 30th, a press conference for the revamped 'Morning Yard' was held at the KBS headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by hosts Um Ji-in and Park Cheol-kyu, singers Yoon Soo-hyun and Na Sang-do, comedian Jung Tae-ho, and producer Kim Dae-hyun.
'Morning Yard' first aired in May 1991 and is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. In February, the show conducted a survey with 600 viewers aged 40 to 70. Based on the results, the show has been revamped with a focus on viewer participation, entertainment, and digital expansion, starting from the 30th.
As part of the revamp, Um Ji-in will showcase a new persona, Um Young-ja, on the YouTube content 'Young-ja's Store.' Regarding this, Um stated, "During pre-interviews, there were many fun episodes that I couldn't share on live broadcasts. I thought it would be great to have an outlet for behind-the-scenes stories," adding, "I want to try things on YouTube that I couldn't do on public broadcasting."
She also extended an invitation to singer Lim Young-woong, saying, "The person I always want to invite to the 'Morning Yard' studio is Lim Young-woong. I hope he can join us someday. If the studio is difficult, I would love to have him on YouTube," she said with a smile.
'Morning Yard' airs every weekday at 8:25 AM.
