Yano Shiho (49) made a heartfelt confession.
On the October 27th episode of KBS2's variety show 'New Release Pyeonstorang', the results of the 'Chicken Fight' menu competition featuring versatile goddess Lee Jung-hyun, elite housekeeper Oh Sang-jin, and positivity queen Yano Shiho were revealed. Amidst intense competition, the glory of victory and release went to Oh Sang-jin's Samgye-sotbap. Alongside this, Yano Shiho, known for her unwavering positivity, shared a previously unknown heartbreaking story that caught everyone's attention.
On this day, Yano Shiho visited her close friend Ayumi's house, carrying gifts in both hands. Ayumi, who married a businessman two years her senior in 2022 and is raising her 19-month-old daughter, Se-a, warmly welcomed Yano Shiho. Yano Shiho gifted Ayumi luxury lipstick and a baby dress. Additionally, she brought dozens of 'Duchonku' (Dubai chewy cookies), which were quite expensive at the time of filming. Even Yano Shiho's daughter, Sarang, exclaimed "Oh my God" during a video call, bringing laughter.
Ayumi's new house also drew attention. Yano Shiho, who owns a 5 billion yen house in Tokyo, was impressed, saying, "It's really big." Notably, Yano Shiho humorously remarked that her husband Choo Sung-hoon's room is only a fraction of Ayumi's 19-month-old daughter Se-a's room, causing laughter. Furthermore, Yano Shiho made a healthy soup curry for Ayumi, who has little time to care for herself due to childcare, touching Ayumi's heart.
Yano Shiho and Ayumi then engaged in an honest conversation about childbirth and parenting. When Ayumi mentioned considering a second child, Yano Shiho enthusiastically encouraged her, saying, "Quickly!" and shared a candid '49 and up' conversation, bringing laughter. Yano Shiho then revealed, "I was pregnant with my second child at 40, but I eventually miscarried. It wasn't a natural pregnancy but through IVF, so I felt like it was my fault and was shocked, which made me stop thinking about having a second child," surprising everyone.
Recalling that time, Yano Shiho said, "I don't think my family (Choo Sung-hoon, Sarang) talked about it much. They just stayed by my side." She also shared how she overcame the pain during a family trip to Hawaii. The courage Yano Shiho showed in sharing her difficult story was met with words of support from the 'Pyeonstorang' family.
The winner of the 'Chicken Fight' menu competition was Oh Sang-jin. Known as a master of sotbap, Oh Sang-jin's 'Samgye-sotbap', a dish he made for his parents, captured the taste and nutrition of Samgyetang in one pot, earning high praise as a "premium health and taste menu," and ultimately winning the competition. Oh Sang-jin expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you. I love you, So-young," in true housekeeper style.
