The episode aired on the 27th at 9:50 PM, showcasing Shin I-rang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok), a lawyer specializing in ghost cases, as he uncovers a massive conspiracy while taking on a case from the late genius scientist Jeon Sang-ho (played by Yoon Na-moo).
Jeon Sang-ho, renowned for his vast knowledge during his lifetime, initially refused to accept his death, denying the existence of spirits. However, upon reviewing records from his life presented by Shin I-rang, he finally faced the harsh reality with tears.
Despite being named a suspect in his own murder, Jeon Sang-ho expressed deep paternal love, worrying about his wife Kim Soo-jung (played by Jung Ga-hee), who suffered from postpartum depression, and their son Woo-joo.
As the trial began, the case grew more complex. Lawyer Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som) was convinced of Kim Soo-jung's innocence, but Shin I-rang, informed by Jeon Sang-ho's spirit, pointed to the bathroom as the murder scene, leading to a clash between the two.
When the prosecution presented the shower curtain as crucial evidence, Kim Soo-jung suddenly confessed to the murder to protect an accomplice, causing a stir in the courtroom.
To uncover the truth, Shin I-rang, guided by Jeon Sang-ho's spirit, discovered the buried body in an unmarked graveyard. It was then revealed that Jeon Sang-ho's father-in-law and research director, Kim Tae-joon, was the true culprit, driven by desperation to develop a cure for his dying wife.
Jeon Sang-ho's spirit, feeling betrayed, possessed Shin I-rang and confronted Kim Tae-joon in a fit of rage. Shin I-rang regained control with the intervention of his mother, Park Kyung-hwa (played by Kim Mi-kyung).
However, Shin I-rang was arrested for Jeon Sang-ho's murder and body disposal when gloves with his fingerprints were found near the burial site. His cries of innocence as he was taken away heightened the tension for future episodes.
