Singer and actress Nam Gyu-ri (41) has captivated audiences with her adventurous spirit and heartfelt reflections during a hike on Gwanaksan Mountain.
On the 22nd, Nam Gyu-ri's official YouTube channel 'Nam Gyu-ri's Gyul-mung' released a video titled 'Ep.39 Gwanaksan Nam Squirrel Appears! Let's Hike Together for Good Vibes | Nam Gyu-ri Healing Vlog'.
In the video, Nam Gyu-ri enthusiastically begins her hike, saying, "I've heard that mountains with 'ak' in their name have good energy, so I'm heading to Gwanaksan."
As she looks at five boiled eggs, she whimsically remarks, "Seeing five eggs reminds me of the Eagle Five Brothers. I feel like I can protect the Earth after eating these," showcasing her quirky imagination and charming energy.
As the hike progresses, Nam Gyu-ri becomes exhausted by the endless rocky paths and steep slopes, at one point lying down on a rock to catch her breath. She humorously expresses her desire to be airlifted by a passing helicopter, displaying her relatable and down-to-earth charm.
At Yeonjuam Temple, she enjoys a cup of ramen, exclaiming, "It's my first time seeing ramen sold at a temple," and delights viewers with her unpretentious and easygoing nature.
The video also highlights Nam Gyu-ri's candid reflections as she climbs the challenging mountain paths. She shares, "Many people think I have no worries, but I've faced many unexpected challenges in my life," revealing her hidden struggles.
She continues, "The one belief I've held onto is 'this too shall pass.' After crying, sleeping, eating, and laughing once, I find the strength to endure again," drawing a parallel between climbing the mountain and her resilient approach to life, resonating deeply with viewers.
Upon reaching the summit at Yeonjudae, Nam Gyu-ri gazes at the expansive view and expresses her wishes for the well-being of her subscribers, 'Gyulbyeol-i', colleagues, and loved ones, showcasing her warm and caring nature.
SeeYa's Comeback: What's Next?
While sharing her diverse and down-to-earth daily life on her YouTube channel 'Gyul-mung', Nam Gyu-ri is also gearing up to return to her main career as a singer. Her group SeeYa will release a pre-release track 'Nevertheless, Us', co-written by the members, on March 30th at 6 PM, followed by a fan meeting at 'Idles' in Jongno-gu, Seoul. A full album is set to be released in May.
