Korean Singer Hye Eun-yi Opens Up About Battling Severe Depression
Korean singer Hye Eun-yi, aged 70, has revealed that she is undergoing treatment for severe depression.

On the 27th, a video titled "I Didn't Want to Come Out, But I Did. And Then..." was uploaded to the 'Anyway Hye Eun-yi' channel.

In the video, Hye Eun-yi shared, "I left the house for the first time in three weeks, except for hospital visits," as she ventured out to the Han River.

Upon arriving at the Han River Park, Hye Eun-yi smiled as she recalled, "My son said, 'Mom, the ramen by the Han River is delicious.'"

She settled on a bench, watching people stroll along the riverbank. Reflecting on her life, she expressed, "I longed for such ordinary moments," adding, "I never got to experience them." She also confessed, "I deliberately avoid watching my past performances."

Furthermore, she admitted, "Watching them makes me want to quit quickly." Hye Eun-yi shared her thoughts, saying, "It would have been nice if things continued as they were, but now I need to practice letting go." She also mentioned, "I feel it's time to pass on my place to the younger generation."

Discussing her current state, Hye Eun-yi revealed, "I've been visiting the hospital due to severe depression," and added, "As I age, I've been told that seasonal changes can bring about feelings of depression."

With an upcoming performance in July, Hye Eun-yi admitted that she feels more anxious than excited. She expressed her concerns, saying, "Last year was sold out, but there's no guarantee it will be the same this year."
