'After School Teacher Taeri' is a new reality show that features a small village elementary school with only 18 students. The show follows the cast as they open an after-school theater class and take on the challenge of teaching the children. Choi Hyun-wook, the youngest member of the cast, plays the role of 'Potato Teacher' in the theater class.

Choi Hyun-wook chose 'After School Teacher Taeri' as his first regular variety show. Known for his intense characters in dramas, he brings a sincere and friendly energy to the program, brightening the atmosphere. His honest and unpretentious reactions, along with his spontaneous humor, have won him favor with viewers.

In the episode aired on the 22nd, while eating jjajangmyeon with the theater class kids, Choi Hyun-wook responded warmly to a child named Ha-yoon who asked, “Why am I the only left-handed one here?” by saying, “It's special. I've always wanted to be left-handed,” and switched to eating with his left hand, boosting the child's self-esteem and warming the atmosphere. He also charmed viewers with his approachable demeanor at a barbershop, where he interacted cheerfully with the elderly, and his hearty laughter even in awkward situations like washing hair with rubber gloves.

When an elderly person in the village remarked that Choi Hyun-wook looked like an actor, he innocently asked, “Do I look handsome?” and was delighted by the compliment, showcasing his down-to-earth charm.

While making kimbap for the children, Choi Hyun-wook mused, “This might be a random thought, but is this what it feels like to have kids?” He also showed empathy by shedding tears when a child was upset about being cast in an unwanted role in the play, revealing the genuine side of Choi Hyun-wook.

Choi Hyun-wook is set to appear in upcoming projects, including the Netflix series 'The Boy in the Last Row' and Disney+ 'The Enchantment'.
