Entertainer Ji Suk-jin has spoken about his first venture into Netflix.
On the 27th, a press conference for Netflix's 'The Scholar Ji' was held at a cafe in Sangam-dong, Seoul. Present at the event were entertainer Ji Suk-jin, Oh My Girl's Mimi, and director Jeong Do-dam.
Netflix's variety show 'The Scholar Ji' (directed by Jeong Do-dam, produced by TEO) is a reality-based knowledge exploration show that breaks down the barriers of knowledge with raw questions. Ji Suk-jin, a lifelong learner even at the age of sixty, and Mimi, a member of Oh My Girl known for her sharp questions, are the hosts.
When asked about the reactions of his close 'Running Man' members to his Netflix debut, Ji Suk-jin shared, "It's a very happy occasion. (Yoo) Jae-suk was pleased, and this is just the beginning," adding, "We can only laugh if the results are good."
He continued, "I haven't really discussed this with the other members. Jae-suk and I talked about it on set, and he was very supportive and hoped it would do well. Personally, it's an honor, and I feel it must succeed."
Ji also expressed his anticipation, saying, "Netflix has rankings, doesn't it? I think being mentioned by people is important."
'The Scholar Ji' will premiere on Netflix on March 30 at 5 PM, releasing episodes 1 and 2. Subsequently, one episode will be released every Monday at 5 PM.
