Ahn Sohee, a former member of the popular group Wonder Girls, has officially announced her retirement from singing at the age of 33.
Ahn Sohee appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel 'Insaeng84' on the 26th. During the show, when asked by Kian84 if she would continue singing, Ahn Sohee revealed, "I have transitioned and am now focusing solely on acting."
When asked if she misses singing, Ahn Sohee responded, "I don't regret it or feel sad, but I do miss it. I loved being on stage, whether it was concerts, events, or music shows. I missed that, but I have channeled that energy into theater."
Speaking about the allure of theater, she expressed, "Theater has a quiet and intense energy. I started theater two years ago and have been continuously involved since then."
Ahn Sohee recently appeared in the play 'Then and Now 2' until last month. She explained, "It was a two-person play, which was physically demanding. One person played four roles. It was a project that required a lot of physical and emotional energy."
She plans to take some time for herself to recharge. Ahn Sohee shared, "I haven't had personal time recently. Since last fall until last month, it was all about theater," and revealed her plans for a month-long stay in Europe.
Ahn Sohee debuted with the girl group Wonder Girls in 2007 and has been focusing on her acting career since the group's official activities ended in 2017.
