Singer Seo In-young has issued an apology for her swearing controversy while firmly denying allegations of bullying.
On the 26th, Seo In-young launched her YouTube channel 'Reformed Seo In-young' and uploaded her first video titled 'Seo In-young Reads Hate Comments After 10 Years: Truth and Lies, Current Status.'
In the video, Seo In-young addressed sensitive issues related to her past. During the discussion, the production team mentioned, "Here comes the most intense part," referring to a video that circulated showing Seo In-young swearing at her manager during an overseas variety show shoot.
Seo In-young expressed surprise by stating, "I have never watched that video," and explained, "It was too painful. There is a whole story behind it, but I can't share it because it involves other people."
In the video, Seo In-young is heard saying, "Just check-in and come out quickly. XX, before I explode." She admitted, "Honestly, I was taking medication for panic disorder and depression and had taken a break for several years," acknowledging her mistake in swearing. She further explained, "I had just woken up after sleeping on the ground for over ten hours. The place was crowded with people. I understand the production team needed to cut costs, but I was there to work, and I was also on edge. After that, I had to wait another nine hours, and it drove me crazy."
Seo In-young clarified that the person she swore at was her manager, not the program's writer, emphasizing, "It was definitely not the writer."
At the time, the production team released a 'Seo In-young Bullying List,' which sparked controversy. The list included claims that Seo In-young demanded first-class instead of business class and refused to stay in the same hotel as the staff, calling it a 'shabby hotel.'
Seo In-young refuted these claims, stating, "There were over ten allegations, none of which are true. I'm not that disgusting person." She expressed her frustration, saying, "People might think, 'If Seo In-young did nothing wrong, why didn't she apologize for swearing? Maybe she's hiding something.' But back then, my company advised me to stay silent. If I could go back, I would fight to the end."
