Actress and painter Lee Hye-young has come under fire for posting a video of her dog with makeup on its face, sparking accusations of animal abuse.
On the 25th, Lee Hye-young shared a short video on her social media, accompanied by a smiling emoji and the caption, "Thanks for the fun."
The video showed Lee spending time with her pet dog, which appeared to have makeup resembling doodles on its face. The dog had eyeliner around its eyes, blush on its nose, and marks resembling scars.
Netizens criticized the video, questioning whether it constituted animal abuse. Comments included, "What have you done to the dog? Do you think this is normal?", "Abuse isn't just about hitting," and "Are you treating the dog like a toy?" Concerns were also raised about the potential harmful ingredients in the cosmetics used on the animal.
Following the backlash, Lee Hye-young has since deleted the post and has not issued any further statements.
