TWICE member Dahyun is taking a break from activities due to an ankle fracture.
On the 25th, Dahyun's agency, JYP Entertainment, released an official statement announcing her temporary hiatus.
JYP stated, "After careful consideration of the artist's condition and her participation in performances, we have decided that sufficient rest and recovery should be prioritized over activities at this time. Dahyun will focus on her recovery for the time being and plans to rejoin activities once she is in a condition to perform choreography."
They continued, "We apologize to the fans who have been eagerly waiting for Dahyun's performances. We will do our utmost to support the artist so she can continue her activities healthily."
Dahyun had been receiving treatment after noticing an issue with her ankle early in the world tour, and a detailed examination revealed a fracture. Following medical advice that she needs ample rest and ongoing treatment, Dahyun did not participate in the North American concerts from February 13 to March 7.
Meanwhile, TWICE continues their tour in North America, starting in Orlando on the 27th and 28th (local time) and visiting eight cities until April 17-18 in Austin. They will also make history as the first overseas artist to perform at Japan's Tokyo National Stadium on April 25, 26, and 28.
