Figure Skater Cha Jun-hwan Withdraws from World Championships Due to Injury
Figure skating star Cha Jun-hwan has shared some unfortunate news with his fans.

On October 25, Cha took to Instagram to announce, "The 2025-2026 season will be my last, concluding with the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Due to an injury, I have to withdraw from the World Championships." He accompanied this message with several photos and videos.

The posts reveal Cha's dedication to practice, despite his injury. His reddened foot and ankle are wrapped in what appears to be a medical patch, evoking sympathy from fans. Additionally, his skates are heavily taped, indicating his determination to compete despite his condition.

Announcing his withdrawal from the World Championships, Cha expressed support for his teammates, saying, "Team Korea's games start tonight. I'll be cheering for them."

Earlier this year, in February, Cha represented South Korea in the figure skating category at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, where he made history by finishing in fourth place, marking a new milestone for South Korean men's figure skating.
