The anticipation is building for the upcoming release of TVING's original series 'Yumi's Cells Season 3,' set to premiere on April 13. The main trailer, released on the 25th, teases a romantic shift in the relationship between Yumi, played by Kim Go-eun, and Sun-rok, portrayed by Kim Jae-won.
Returning after three years, 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' follows Yumi, now a star writer, as she navigates unexpected changes in her previously mundane life. The series promises a relatable romance that will make viewers laugh, cry, and fall in love all over again. With Kim Go-eun reprising her role as Yumi, the addition of rising star Kim Jae-won, and the reunion of director Lee Sang-yeob with writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, expectations are high.
While the main poster hinted at the sudden excitement between Yumi and Sun-rok, the newly released trailer elevates the anticipation with dynamic changes in their relationship. Despite his polished appearance, Sun-rok, the PD, frequently pushes Yumi's buttons with his quirky reactions. His unexpected presence brings a thrilling change to Yumi's peaceful life. In one scene, Yumi's comment, "Maltese dogs can be smart," is met with Sun-rok's deadpan response, "Don't Maltese eat poop?" His peculiar behavior, like wearing earphones alone on a bus, adds humor to the mix. The rare fish 'Bbakdom,' which appears only when Yumi is angry, becomes a frequent sight with Sun-rok's arrival, adding to the intrigue.
Despite her initial frustration, Yumi's excitement is palpable as her heart starts to race at Sun-rok's smile. Her life begins to change, and Sun-rok's unexpected charm catches her attention. In a surprising turn, Sun-rok offers Yumi comforting words, saying, "You were amazing. You are amazing," when she feels down. His straightforward nature is evident when he bluntly disagrees with Da-yong's (Jeon Seok-ho) comment that Yumi and Ju-ho (Choi Daniel) make a good pair, insisting, "No, they don't." This boldness hints at the dynamic 'love-hate' romance that awaits. Sun-rok, who reignites Yumi's once-calm heart, and Yumi, who brings Sun-rok out of his 'homebody' shell, promise to bring exciting changes to each other's lives.
TVING's original 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' will be exclusively pre-released with two episodes every Monday at 6 PM starting April 13 on TVING, and will air on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM.
