Former MLB Star Byung-Hyun Kim Reveals 16-Year Sobriety Pledge on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

Former MLB pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim, who has accumulated a career earnings of 23.7 billion won, revealed that he has been sober for 16 years.

On the October 24th episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', Chef Jung Ho-young, who made it to the TOP4 in 'Black and White Chef' Season 2, steps in as a relief pitcher for Kim.

During a recent recording, Kim, who married in 2010, surprised the studio by sharing his personal commitment to his family. He stated, "I quit drinking after my first daughter was born," revealing his 16-year sobriety. He further declared, "I will continue to abstain from alcohol until my daughter turns 20," showcasing his deep paternal love. However, when MC Lee Hyun-yi posed the extreme question, "Start drinking again or give up entrepreneurship forever?", Kim was left speechless, causing laughter in the studio.

Chef Jung Ho-young visited Kim's sausage shop, drawing attention. On his way, Jung was seen wandering, saying, "I can't see the sign. Where is it?" This confusion led the MCs to express their disbelief, and they reportedly scolded Kim for not having a proper sign yet.

After finally arriving at the shop, Jung showed his affection by preparing a special gift for Kim. As a close friend, Jung rolled up his sleeves and transformed into a one-day part-timer, saying, "I'll help you so you don't fail anymore," as he assisted in both the kitchen and the dining area. He generously shared top-notch recipes and customer service tips, showcasing his skills as a TOP4 chef from 'Black and White Chef'. The mystery behind Jung's special gift and recipe has piqued interest.

Chef Jung Ho-young's 'special solution' for the 'serial entrepreneur' Byung-Hyun Kim can be seen on the upcoming episode of 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'.
