On the 23rd, Kim Ji-sun shared on her Instagram, "Today, my beloved eldest son Ji-hoon has answered the call of the nation and enlisted," along with several photos and a video.
The posts reveal Kim Ji-sun bidding farewell to her son as he enters the training camp, capturing the bittersweet moment. Kim Ji-sun expressed, "True to Ji-hoon's nature, he prepared thoroughly and enlisted in the Air Force as he wished."
She continued, "I joked around with him even while cutting his hair, thinking 'I must be a strange mom,' but when the time for farewell came, I couldn't hold back my tears. My son comforted me, saying 'See you at the graduation ceremony,' and entered bravely."
Kim Ji-sun added, "People say the military has become easier these days, but leaving home is always tough. I pray that Ji-hoon meets good seniors and peers and that his kind nature grows even stronger."
Kim Ji-sun's son will serve in the Air Force, which requires three months more service than the Army's 18 months. The Air Force demands extensive technical training and equipment handling, necessitating a longer training and proficiency period. Therefore, Kim Ji-sun's son will complete his service and be discharged accordingly.
