Actor Kim Byung-se (64) has opened up about the reasons behind his 8-year hiatus from the entertainment industry.
Recently, a video titled 'Actor Kim Byung-se Who Moved to America, Finally Reveals His Hidden U.S. Home for the First Time' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Byung-se World.'
In the video, Kim Byung-se showcased his luxurious mansion featuring a spacious garden, lush trees, and a swimming pool. The living room, with its high ceilings and expansive space, was particularly striking, allowing for a large tree to reach up to the ceiling.
He introduced the space as "a true sanctuary never shown on TV," adding humorously, "This is the perfect house for dieting." Kim Byung-se also shared glimpses of his humble daily life, showing himself cleaning up the kitchen and doing the dishes after meals.
Kim Byung-se also shared the background of his move to the United States. He revealed, "In April 2018, my mother passed away, but I couldn't attend her funeral due to filming the MBC drama 'Rich Family's Son.'" Later that year, in October, he visited the U.S. to pay his respects to his mother and ended up meeting his current wife through a blind date.
Kim Byung-se proposed just 90 days after meeting her, stating, "I was certain that if I didn't marry now, I might never get the chance."
