Actor Jung Yi-chan has been cast as the male lead in a new drama by renowned writer Im Sung-han, drawing significant attention. Born in 2000, Jung is the same age as popular actors Moon Sang-min and Lee Chae-min.

Jung Yi-chan recently appeared as 'Shin Joo-shin,' the head of neurosurgery at Nua Hospital, in the TV CHOSUN weekend mini-series 'Dr. Shin' (written by Phoebe, Im Sung-han/directed by Lee Seung-hoon/produced by Scene & Studio, TME Group), which aired on October 14-15.

Shin Joo-shin, a neurosurgery expert with near-supernatural skills, captivated viewers with his cold demeanor during surgeries. Notably, he maintained his focus even when blood splattered on his protective glasses and despite hearing about an accident involving his top-star girlfriend, Momo (played by Baek Seo-ra).

The drama also showcased Shin Joo-shin's unwavering affection for Momo. Before the accident, he fell for her at first sight while watching her on TV and expressed his feelings by leaving snacks and heartfelt letters at her doorstep, highlighting his thoughtful nature.
