In the video, Kim Hyun-sook candidly shared her diet tips while drinking healthy beverages she made herself before and after workouts.
“A Gourmet but Not a Glutton… Menopause Spider Body Concerns”
Kim Hyun-sook spoke honestly about the physical changes she is currently experiencing. She began by saying, “I am surprisingly a gourmet, but not a glutton,” and confessed, “But when menopause hit, I developed what is called a 'spider body'. My arms and legs became thinner, but the fat around my belly kept increasing. My body shape itself is changing.”
She also offered some stern advice on common dieting mistakes. Kim Hyun-sook said, “When you're hungry, drinking something with nuts in it can be filling. It's definitely different from not eating at all and starving,” adding from her experience, “If you starve and then go home, you end up binge eating.”
Previously, Kim Hyun-sook garnered attention for her '14kg weight loss'.
To prevent body changes due to menopause, she repeatedly emphasized, “You should never starve,” suggesting low-calorie yet filling healthy foods as alternatives. On this day, Kim Hyun-sook demonstrated her 'belly fat defense' recipes by making almond drinks, youthful smoothies, and protein-rich konggasari and biji-jeon.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-sook is well-loved for her roles as the character 'Chulsandra' and the protagonist of 'Rude Miss Young-ae'. After her divorce in 2020, she is currently raising her son alone while continuing to engage with the public through broadcasting and her personal channel.
