What Was on the Menu at the APEC Banquet Praised by Leaders from 20 Countries?
In today's (22nd) episode of 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears', episode 349, Kim Song-gi, the executive director overseeing all Lotte Hotel restaurants, shares behind-the-scenes stories of the Korean banquet presented at the Gyeongju APEC Summit. Kim revealed that he spent seven months sourcing ingredients from Gyeongju, adding stories to the banquet. Starting with colorful appetizers, the menu included braised short ribs, soft tofu stew, gondalbi bibimbap, and ice cream capturing the thousand-year smile of Gyeongju. Park Myung-soo exclaimed, "It's an honor," with wide eyes, and praised the meal with "Amazing, incredible, unbelievable," even getting tongue-tied in excitement. The banquet, which left Park Myung-soo thrilled, was reportedly a hit with leaders from 20 countries, who cleared their plates.
Park Myung-soo humorously expressed concern over G-Dragon's hunger during the Gyeongju APEC Summit, where G-Dragon performed. Park referred to G-Dragon as "my younger brother" and asked, "Did GD eat that day?" catching Kim Song-gi off guard. Kim politely responded, "G-Dragon did not register as a guest, so he did not have a meal." Park, in a playful tone, remarked, "GD must have gone home hungry," adding, "If it were me, I would have asked for a meal." He even jokingly requested the government to check on G-Dragon's hunger, causing laughter.
To see the Korean banquet from the Gyeongju APEC Summit that Park Myung-soo wanted G-Dragon to taste and Park's unwavering affection for GD, tune in to 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears'.
