On the October 21st episode of SBS's 'Shin & Law Office' (directed by Shin Joong-hoon, written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Chul-kyu), aired at 9:50 PM, Shin Yi-rang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) uncovers the identity of the real culprit behind the death of trainee Kim Soo-ah (played by Oh Ye-ju) and seeks justice for the deceased.
In this episode, Shin Yi-rang discovers that the owner of the ringtone Kim Soo-ah last heard was composer Go Jong-seok (played by Jung Si-heon), whom she admired. With Kim Soo-ah's spirit, Shin Yi-rang sneaks into Go Jong-seok's house and witnesses him shamelessly trying to steal Kim Soo-ah's original song as his own. This revelation fills Shin Yi-rang with deep anger.
Who Was the Real Culprit Behind the Trainee's Murder?
The plot thickens as Go Jong-seok leaves to meet another person who knows Kim Soo-ah's song, Emma. Kim Soo-ah feared for her fellow trainee Emma's safety, but Shin Yi-rang, following the investigative principle that the biggest beneficiary is the culprit, was convinced Emma was the real perpetrator. It was revealed that Emma, facing elimination from auditions, pushed her strongest rival and friend Kim Soo-ah off the rooftop to secure her debut spot. She then coerced Go Jong-seok, who witnessed the crime, into being an accomplice by offering him Kim Soo-ah's original song to cover up the crime. When her crime was exposed, Emma coldly remarked, "Did you think someone like her was on my level?" Kim Soo-ah, betrayed by a trusted colleague, broke down in tears, evoking sympathy.

Meanwhile, tensions peaked between Shin Yi-rang and Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som), who had been suspicious of Shin Yi-rang's actions. Han Na-hyun, a partner lawyer at Glory Entertainment, demanded to know the source of Shin Yi-rang's insider information. To prevent further crimes by Emma, Shin Yi-rang agreed to reveal everything after solving the case and began collaborating with Han Na-hyun. Ultimately, Han Na-hyun secured Go Jong-seok's confession and Kim Soo-ah's phone, leading to Emma's arrest. True to his word, Shin Yi-rang confessed to Han Na-hyun that he could "see and talk to the dead," but Han Na-hyun dismissed it as delusion and left, vowing not to get involved again.
Towards the end of the episode, the heartbreaking family story of Kim Soo-ah before her death was revealed. Kim Soo-ah, learning that her mother, facing blindness, wanted to see her daughter's face one last time, donated her corneas, giving her mother the gift of sight. After confirming the peaceful state of her grandmother and mother, Kim Soo-ah was finally able to rest in peace. The episode concluded with a new ghost client entering Shin Yi-rang's law office, raising anticipation for future developments as Shin Yi-rang greeted them, "I am your lawyer, Shin Yi-rang."
