On the third episode of SBS's 'Shin-Irang Law Office' (directed by Shin Jung-hoon, written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Chul-kyu), which aired on the night of the 20th at 9:50 PM, viewers witnessed Han Na-hyun (played by Esom) entering a period of reflection after losing a trial, while Shin Irang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) welcomed a new ghostly client.
In this episode, Han Na-hyun, a perfectionist lawyer who would stop at nothing to win, experienced her first defeat after making a shocking decision to hand over crucial evidence to the police, entangled with Shin Irang in the process.
Yang Do-kyung (played by Kim Kyung-nam) from her law firm coldly reprimanded Han Na-hyun, saying, "You can't make excuses because you're my person," prompting her to step back from all cases and take time for self-reflection.
Shin Irang personally visited Han Na-hyun as she packed her belongings, expressing sincere gratitude for her decision to lose the trial. He emphasized that her choice to uphold the truth, despite having the opportunity to destroy the hard drive, saved a child's life, offering genuine appreciation despite her cold demeanor.
Meanwhile, Yang Byung-il (played by Choi Kwang-il), who was staying in the U.S., questioned Yang Do-kyung about the trial outcome, but Yang Do-kyung managed to defuse the situation by claiming he handled it himself to protect Han Na-hyun.
Who is the Mysterious High School Girl Ghost at Shin Irang's Office?
The focus shifted to a mysterious high school girl ghost named Ro-an (played by Oh Ye-ju) who appeared at Shin Irang's office. While drafting a contract to prevent any issues with the ghost, Shin Irang showed his humane side by removing the 'contract termination in case of danger' clause after seeing Ro-an, who was unaware of her own death, looking dejected.
Yoon Bong-soo (played by Jeon Seok-ho), Shin Irang's brother-in-law, was shocked to witness Shin Irang talking to thin air and was informed by Park Kyung-hwa (played by Kim Mi-kyung) that Shin Irang could see ghosts, though he couldn't believe it. However, when Yoon Bong-soo's phone rang with IVE's 'Love Dive' ringtone, Shin Irang, possessed by Ro-an, performed an impromptu girl group dance, scaring off a divorce consultation client who fled in fear.
To uncover Ro-an's identity, Shin Irang continued his investigation with the help of his niece, Yoon Da-bong (played by Lee Ah-rin). It was revealed that Ro-an's real name was Kim Soo-ah, a promising trainee who had shone on the popular audition program 'Tomorrow Idol.' Her fellow trainees shared that Kim Soo-ah had led the team with intense dedication but succumbed to pressure from exhausted members and the agency's CEO, leading to her departure from the program and subsequent suicide rumors.
Was the Idol Trainee's Death a Murder, Not a Suicide?
However, Kim Soo-ah, having regained her memory, claimed she was not a suicide victim but was pushed off the rooftop by someone, suggesting she was murdered. She testified to hearing an unfamiliar phone ringtone just before her fall, hinting at a new twist in the case.
Shin Irang vowed to investigate further, stating, "If I don't help a friend who lived a good life, I'm not Shin Irang," and continued his investigation. He approached composer Go Jong-seok at the agency while possessed, displaying extraordinary strength before being restrained. The episode concluded with Han Na-hyun rescuing Shin Irang from danger on the road, heightening anticipation for their deepening collaboration.
