In episodes 5 and 6 of JTBC's Friday series 'Shining', airing at 8:50 PM on the 20th, Yeon Tae-seo (played by Jinyoung) and Mo Eun-ah (played by Kim Min-joo) begin to rebuild their time together, but a precarious change is detected.
The Transformation of the Protagonists After a Decade of Growth
Now in their thirties, Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah have matured significantly over the past decade. Yeon Tae-seo, who lost his parents and has been caring for his disabled younger sister and aging grandparents, has become a subway conductor and achieved independence. Meanwhile, Mo Eun-ah, who couldn't leave home due to caring for her father suffering from depression, has pursued her dream of becoming a hotelier after her father's remarriage and has achieved independence.
Despite the painful separation they endured during their intense growth, time between them has long been at a standstill. However, as they meet again after a long time, their romance is expected to rekindle, although new challenges await them.
What Happens During the Moment of Crisis?
In the photos, Yeon Tae-seo is seen receiving a phone call on his way home from work, still in his uniform, while Mo Eun-ah is intently looking at something at her desk with a serious expression. Particularly, Yeon Tae-seo is by the side of his younger sister Yeon Hee-seo (played by Sung Yoo-bin), who is in hospital attire. A shadow looms over the siblings' faces, drawing attention to what might have happened to them.
Mo Eun-ah's stepmother, Park So-hyun (played by Kim Ji-hyun), also appears at Mo Eun-ah's new workplace. A complex atmosphere surrounds Mo Eun-ah, who has never been fond of Park So-hyun, and her stepmother, adding curiosity to the family's story over the past decade. It remains to be seen whether Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah can overcome these challenges and refocus on each other.
