Lee Si-an, the son of former soccer player and broadcaster Lee Dong-gook, has been revealed to have shown exceptional talent in golf in the past.

On the 19th, Lee Dong-gook's wife, Lee Soo-jin, shared a video on her social media with the caption, "Si-an's happy golf days." In the video, Si-an demonstrates impressive swings on the golf course, showcasing his outstanding athletic sense.

Lee Soo-jin commented, "I want to believe that Si-an's hand sensitivity is extraordinary, as even when he hit casually, the ball went straight and far. He was in a phase where he could place the ball perfectly and was better at golf ball juggling than with a soccer ball."

She also shared concerns about her son's career path. Lee Soo-jin said, "As we approach middle school, I've been contemplating whether he should switch to golf. Although golf isn't easy, soccer feels increasingly challenging, both physically and mentally. Even when performing well, it's hard to receive full recognition," she confessed, adding, "I want to say, 'Should we stop golf now?' but I'm holding back."

She continued, "When I show him news about his dad's friends winning golf tournaments and earning tens of millions in prize money, Si-an's eyes widen with interest, but his love for soccer remains unwavering."

What are Lee Si-an's recent soccer achievements?

Previously, Lee Si-an won the '2024 Chungju Apple Cup National Youth Soccer Festival.' Recently, he also passed the entrance test for the youth team of the prestigious LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer.

Meanwhile, Lee Dong-gook and Lee Soo-jin married in 2005 and have one son and four daughters. Lee Dong-gook appeared on the KBS parenting show 'The Return of Superman,' where Lee Si-an, known as 'Daebak,' received affection from many online fans.
