Jeon Ji-yoon, a former member of the popular K-pop group 4Minute, has caught attention by revealing her secret career as a web novel writer.
On the 13th, the YouTube channel 'Jin's Page' released a video titled 'A Gathering of People Who Find Web Novels More Interesting Than Shorts (feat. Lee Jae-min, Nabi Valley, Jeon Ji-yoon)'. In the video, Jeon Ji-yoon appeared as a guest alongside comic critic Lee Jae-min and writer Nabi Valley.
Jeon Ji-yoon shared her current activities as a web novel writer, which has become a hot topic. She expressed her surprise, saying, "I kept my work as a web novel writer a secret, so I was surprised to be contacted for an appearance," adding, "This is my first time appearing on a show as a web novel writer."
When asked about what led her to become a web novel writer, she explained, "I was a reader myself and thought, 'What if I try writing one?'" She continued, "I applied when I found out there was a free academy offering support." Jeon Ji-yoon added, "I passed the interview and was selected as an outstanding student, which led to a contract and my debut as a writer."
Jeon Ji-yoon also addressed the topic of revealing her pen name, drawing attention. She explained, "I'm contemplating it, but I keep thinking 'it might not be good for me,' so I haven't revealed it yet."
Meanwhile, Jeon Ji-yoon debuted with 4Minute in 2009 and gained immense popularity with hits like 'Hot Issue' and 'What's Your Name?'. She has since continued her career as a solo artist.
