Singers DinDin and Cho Hyun-young are set to release their remake single 'If I Were Born Again'. The track will be available on various online music platforms at 6 PM on the 17th.
Originally released in November 1998, 'If I Were Born Again' was a duet by singers Kim Dong-kyu and Esther. At the time of its release, it garnered significant attention and was hailed as a quintessential male-female duet ballad.
This remake features DinDin and Cho Hyun-young, who are known to be friends. The duo, who have maintained their friendship since their school days, collaborated to reinterpret the original song.
In a video released ahead of the launch, the pair shared anecdotes from their past. DinDin and Cho Hyun-young reminisced, "We probably went to karaoke more often than school." They recalled their experiences of frequenting karaoke during their school years.
DinDin further explained the song, stating, "'If I Were Born Again' was considered a representative duet song for the older generation." He added, "For our generation, it feels like Na Yoon-kwon's 'Anbu'."
The new version of the song retains the original's emotional essence while incorporating the unique styles of both artists. The focus was on conveying the song's emotions through their natural synergy.
DinDin and Cho Hyun-young's remake single 'If I Were Born Again' will officially be released at 6 PM on the 17th.
