Earlier, on the 15th, Lee Jae took home the Best Original Song award at the 98th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
'Golden' triumphed over other nominees such as 'Dear Me' from 'Diane Never Dies', 'I Ride to You' from 'Sinners', 'Train Dreams' from 'Dream of Trains', and 'Sweet Dreams of Joy' from 'Viva Verdi'.
Upon receiving the award, Lee Jae expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you to the Academy for this incredible honor." He added, "Growing up, people teased me for liking K-pop. Now, we're all singing songs with Korean lyrics. I'm proud."
The same night, 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' also won the Best Animated Feature, making it a double victory. Lee Jae celebrated by performing 'Golden' alongside Audrey Nuna and Ray Ami.
