To commemorate their comeback, global sensation BTS is launching a citywide project in Seoul.
On the 16th, BTS unveiled the detailed schedule for 'BTS The City Arirang Seoul' (hereafter referred to as The City Seoul) on their fan community platform, Weverse. This project will run from March 20 to April 19, featuring programs available only at specific times and locations throughout the city.
On March 20, the release date of 'ARIRANG,' various events will take place. Media facades will be displayed from 7 PM at locations like Sungnyemun and Namsan Seoul Tower. Near Ttukseom Hangang Park, a drone show is scheduled to light up the sky for approximately 15 minutes starting at 8:30 PM.
The area around Gwanghwamun Square, where a comeback live event is planned, will also host related programs. From 7 PM on the 20th until midnight the following day, comeback-related videos will be broadcast on outdoor screens in the square. Performances combining music and lights will be held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and Banpo Bridge's Moonlight Rainbow Fountain. DDP will host these events from March 20 to April 12, while Banpo Bridge will feature them for two days starting March 21.
Visitors can participate in a 'Stamp Rally' by visiting project locations such as Yeouido, DDP, and Shinsegae Square to receive stamps.
From March 20 to 22, the 'Love Song Lounge' will be open at the Yeouido Hangang Park Event Plaza. This space is linked to the new album campaign slogan, "WHAT IS YOUR LOVE SONG?", offering street performances and photo zones as interactive content. Additionally, from April 6 to 12, DDP Exhibition Hall 1 will transform into 'DDP ARMY Yard,' and from April 6 to 19, 'Love Quarter,' a media production using light and video, will be showcased at locations like Cheonggyecheon and Yongsan Station.
The project will also collaborate with transportation, accommodation, finance, and food and beverage sectors to enhance visitor convenience and integrate the project into everyday life.
Detailed information about 'The City Seoul' can be found on BTS's Weverse channel and official website. Some programs require advance reservations, and the project is set to expand to major cities worldwide, starting with Seoul.
