Korean singer Lee So-ra candidly shared the challenges she faced during her long hiatus.
On the 15th, a video titled "I've accumulated so much poison. Stop it" was uploaded on the 'Yojung Jae-hyung' channel.
In the video, Lee So-ra appeared as a guest and discussed her life and health during her break.
Jae-hyung warmly welcomed Lee So-ra, noting, "Isn't this your first time filming for YouTube?" When Lee nodded, he recalled, "I asked you to appear two and a half years ago, but it seemed like you wouldn't leave your house then."
Reflecting on her state at the time, Lee So-ra said, "I was doing nothing and lying down every day at home." She added, "Listening to your music felt like a light shining through," crediting Jae-hyung for inspiring her to record again.
Jae-hyung mentioned, "Back then, it was as if no one had seen you," referring to her reclusive period. Lee So-ra explained, "I didn't go outside at all. I only used the apartment elevator once a year, just to go to performances."
Lee So-ra also confessed, "I injured my vocal cords. It was so sad not being able to speak."
She revealed that her health significantly deteriorated during her hiatus, admitting, "My weight reached 100kg." She mentioned, "I lost a lot of weight over a year," discussing her weight changes.
Lee So-ra also shared a diagnosis from the hospital, stating, "My blood pressure rose to 190," and added, "I was so out of breath that walking was difficult." She expressed her anxiety, wondering, "Can I sing in this condition?"
Meanwhile, Lee So-ra recently launched her personal YouTube channel, marking her return to the spotlight after about five years, garnering significant attention.
