Photographer Kim Tae-young Unveils 12th Solo Exhibition 'Light and the Journey'

Renowned photographer Kim Tae-young, who has captured fleeting moments of light across 56 countries while maintaining a 37-year career, announces his 12th solo exhibition, 'Light and the Journey'.

On the 13th, Kim expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply thank my wife for standing by me and giving me courage even in harsh environments." He added, "I hope visitors will recall the fleeting moments of light in their own lives and feel how those moments connect to their personal journeys."

Kim further explained, "Though light is transient, the emotions it leaves behind linger. I traveled the world following those traces, questioning what light means to me. This exhibition is part of that journey to find answers."

Through this exhibition, Kim presents a narrative of landscapes from the scorching lands of Australia to the ancient forests of Tasmania and the charming alleys of Europe. Notably, the exhibition employs a digital display using large LED installations to vividly convey the intensity of light and the texture of the air captured by the artist.

An exhibition planner noted, "Kim Tae-young's photography stands out for its warm and contemplative perspective rather than flashy techniques. We hope many visitors will follow the artist's journey and find the courage to dream of new beginnings as spring approaches."

The exhibition will be held from April 10 to 30 at the 'EPIK Art Gallery & Culture Lab', a multi-cultural exhibition space located on Nonhyeon-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
