Kim Seon-tae, known as the 'former Chungju man,' has secured a new office space with a deposit of 5 million KRW and a monthly rent of 650,000 KRW. He noted that this price is not particularly cheap for the Chungju area.
On the 11th, Kim Seon-tae's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'Promoting My First Office in Life.'
Kim introduced the video by saying, "I've found an office. It's modest, but I wanted to show it to you all." He described the building's lobby as having warm-toned lighting and a vintage interior, clarifying, "You might misunderstand, but it's not a motel." He added, "I invested in a place with an elevator, preparing for growth like my senior, Calm Man. It was a tough decision."
Kim Seon-tae revealed the interior of the office with an enthusiastic "Ta-da!" He stated, "This place costs 5 million KRW for the deposit and 650,000 KRW for the monthly rent. It's not cheap for Chungju. I needed to find an office quickly." He emphasized, "The most important feature is the view. It's above ground, which is a major advantage," while showing the outside view. He humorously noted, "There is an abandoned house nearby," but proudly added, "It's south-facing and gets plenty of sunlight."
The office space is not yet fully equipped. Kim explained, "I don't have a water purifier yet, so I brought bottled water and some snacks. This desk was brought from my father's farm." He continued, "The wallpaper is a bit torn, but it wasn't me. It seems the fire detector is missing. That's a fire safety regulation," choosing his words carefully. He also mentioned, "I'm recording this as evidence in case the landlord asks me to pay for damages later." Kim then gave a tour of the boiler room and bathroom.
Kim reiterated, "I've secured my first office in life. A monthly rent of 650,000 KRW isn't cheap in Chungju," and clarified, "This is not to belittle Chungju. It's just not cheap."
Kim Seon-tae previously worked for Chungju City Hall's YouTube channel 'ChungTV' before resigning last month. He launched his personal YouTube channel on the 3rd of this month, and as of the 12th, he has surpassed 1.42 million subscribers.
