Comedian Lee Kyung-sil recently shared her experience of being financially betrayed by a close friend.
On October 10th, the 'Rolling Thunder' channel featured a video titled "Should Have Sold When Told" on its 'New Woman' content series.
In the video, Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun discussed their investment and business failures, agreeing that "money should not be lent easily." Lee Kyung-sil recalled, "I've lent money to people around me quite a bit in the past."
She explained, "I was preparing the interim payment for an apartment in Yongsan when a close friend urgently asked to borrow money, promising high interest." She continued, "It sounded like the money would come in soon, so I told them to use my money first."
Lee Kyung-sil mentioned the amount she lent, saying, "Initially, it was a few million won, but then they needed more, and within days, I lent over 100 million won. Eventually, that person disappeared, and I couldn't get the money back."
She added, "I try to think of it as helping someone in need."
Lee Sun-min also shared a similar experience, saying, "I had a similar incident once, and I still can't forget it. Sometimes, I get emotional thinking about it." She revealed, "When I passed the audition for 'Utchatsa,' my entire savings were about 3 million won, and I lent 500,000 won to a senior from the show. But that senior eventually disappeared."
Lee Kyung-sil comforted Lee Sun-min, saying, "That person must have been really struggling too." Jo Hye-ryun jokingly suggested, "Just forget about it. If you say you'll forget, I'll buy you clothes." Lee Sun-min replied, "I'll forget," bringing laughter to the conversation.
