Initially distant, the two characters begin to grow closer as they learn about each other's struggles. On a rainy day, Mo Eun-ah rushes home out of concern for her father, and upon seeing Yeon Tae-seo, she confesses that his presence brings her comfort. Yeon Tae-seo, in turn, tries to soothe her in his own way. Despite occasionally losing his hearing after his parents' accident, he makes an effort to listen to Mo Eun-ah, touching the hearts of viewers.

Following this encounter, Yeon Tae-seo notices Mo Eun-ah's footsteps on the school stairs, reacting with a mix of relief, joy, and perhaps something more, adding to the show's emotional depth.

As their relationship deepens, a sudden confession from Mo Eun-ah momentarily creates awkwardness, but they soon find their way back to each other. During a train ride home from a college entrance seminar in Seoul, they hold hands and declare, "We should stay together forever," marking the beginning of their first love.

'Shining' airs every Friday at 8:50 PM with two consecutive episodes.
