Hong Seok-cheon Attends First Meeting with Future In-Laws Ahead of Daughter's Wedding
TV personality Hong Seok-cheon (55) recently attended his first-ever meeting with his daughter's future in-laws.

On the October 9th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon's Love Conqueror,' Hong Seok-cheon and his family were seen preparing for this significant event. Hong, who legally adopted his divorced sister's two children, was meeting the in-laws ahead of his eldest daughter's wedding. Before entering the restaurant, Hong remarked, "I know who I am in Korea, and forming an in-law relationship with such a family is not a small decision."

Upon meeting the in-laws, Hong greeted them with a bright smile. The in-laws responded warmly, saying, "We were a bit nervous since it's our first time, but your hug melted away our tension." The father-in-law asked Hong why he adopted his sister's children. Hong explained, "Firstly, it was for my sister's life. Secondly, I told her not to worry because I would take responsibility for the kids. She was too young when it happened."

Hong continued, "Even if my daughter doesn't show it, there might be a sad corner in her heart. I'm very grateful to my future son-in-law for his bright energy. I wanted someone bright for my daughter. When I first saw him, he was smiling widely, and his voice and energy were great."

The in-laws commented, "He's truly an amazing person. It's not easy to make such a decision." The mother-in-law added, "When I found out our in-law was Hong Seok-cheon, I looked him up online and was surprised. But my husband explained that these days, it's nothing." Hong lightened the mood by saying, "Father, have another eel," bringing laughter to the table.

During the meeting, Hong also read a letter aloud. He expressed, "Being a rather unique person, I worry that I might be a burden to you. Before being in-laws, I hope you can treat me comfortably as a person, Hong Seok-cheon, and accept me generously. I pray that you will embrace our family with love."
