On Jung Si-ah's YouTube channel, 'Jung Si-ah Asi Jung,' a video titled 'Meeting with My 16-Year-Old Best Friend Oh Hyun-kyung: A Real Conversation with Jung Si-ah & Oh Hyun-kyung' was uploaded.
In the video, Jung Si-ah expressed her deep affection for Oh Hyun-kyung, stating, 'We met when I played the role of taking her husband in a drama, and for over 16 years, we've leaned on each other like life partners.'
During the filming of the 2010 drama 'Miss Ajumma,' Jung Si-ah was pregnant with her second daughter, Seo-woo, and managed a grueling shooting schedule. Oh Hyun-kyung recalled, 'At that time, not only Jung Si-ah but also the director and singer Kim Jung-min's wife were pregnant, making it a hectic period for everyone.'
Oh Hyun-kyung revealed the unexpected reason she entered the Miss Korea pageant, drawing attention. She shared, 'I originally dreamed of becoming a teacher or a female soldier, but I accidentally entered the entertainment industry as a commercial model. The prize money was 15 million won, and I decided to challenge myself because I wanted to support my younger sibling's art studies.'
Despite being a newcomer with ongoing commercial and drama contract discussions, Oh Hyun-kyung gave it all up to compete and was crowned Miss Korea 'Jin' in 1989. She added, 'The pride and responsibility of being a winner have been the driving force behind my career.'
Their friendship extends to their children, with Jung Si-ah's daughter and Oh Hyun-kyung's daughter maintaining a special bond. Jung Si-ah mentioned, 'My daughter's favorite sister is her daughter, and when Chaeryeong, who is studying in the U.S., returned to Korea and started working part-time at a cafe, my daughter felt there was much to learn from her.'
Oh Hyun-kyung praised Jung Si-ah's daughter, calling her 'a prodigy with a natural talent for art,' and shared an anecdote about her own daughter contemplating her major after seeing Jung Si-ah's daughter's art skills.
Oh Hyun-kyung showed deep maternal love for her daughter studying abroad, tearing up as she explained why she didn't look back at the airport. She confessed, 'I was afraid I would cry,' and regretted mentioning the cost of studying abroad in anger.
Oh Hyun-kyung expressed her immense guilt, saying, 'How can you put a price on not being able to witness your child's growth?' Jung Si-ah empathized, promising unwavering trust and support, saying, 'It's reassuring to have a senior to rely on while balancing a career in entertainment and parenting.'
