Hong Seok-cheon's future son-in-law has been revealed.
On the October 9th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon’s Love Match', Hong Seok-cheon was seen attending a meeting with his daughter's future in-laws ahead of her wedding.
Hong Seok-cheon, who adopted and raised two nieces as his daughter and son, met his daughter at Seoul Station. He admitted, "I went to bed at 1:30 AM and woke up again at 4 AM," showing signs of nervousness. Even on the train to Busan, Hong's anxiety was evident. He remarked, "Their family knows me well because I'm a public figure, but I don't know them. It feels like I'm auditioning."
Upon arriving in Busan, Hong changed into a suit and dress shoes. Concerned about his appearance, he commented, "I should have done some skincare." His stiff walk further revealed his tension.
Soon after, his daughter introduced her fiancé, saying, "This is Im Seung-woo, whom I plan to marry next year."
Im Seung-woo, Hong's future son-in-law, is a fourth-year finance professional working at H Asset Management. Studio panelists were impressed by his handsome appearance and capabilities, exclaiming, "He has a great impression," and "Wow." Hong's daughter and her fiancé decided to marry after two years of dating.
On the way to the meeting, Hong and his daughter walked hand in hand. His daughter remarked, "It's been a while since we held hands." The production team noted, "They really look like a father and daughter."
In an interview with the production team, the daughter shared, "I felt good. I often link arms, but it's been a while since I held hands. It felt strange, warm, and weighty."
